The purpose of this article is to review the disclosure rules of Directive 2008/48/EU (the Consumer Credit Directive), as transposed in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. More specifically, the note written by Melvin Tjon Akon focuses on disclosures by creditors to consumers and is divided in three parts: presentation of the legal framework, analysis of relevant case law from the Court of Justice of the European Union, and brief remarks on recent policy developments.
